 1)      The then IT Minister – Dyanidhi Maran - son of Murasoli Maran did a remarkable job, he bought in many MNC companies who started to invest in Chennai as a result of increasing the land rates.

2)      The present Minister for Rural development and Local administration M.K Stalin takes care of the city as his own native place. Evergreen Chennai, Garbage Trucks; Air-conditioned Buses, Planting trees etc. were few of his modernization.

3)      Good shopping complex like Spencer’s and Citi Center where youths can hang out, and few others are getting ready too.

4)      Extraordinary Multi-plex theatres like Sathyam, Inox and few more to come.

5)      New IT Buildings, Other Infrastructure developments, Real Estate Boom, Cost -of -living has increased, changed a lot when compared to Bangalore.

6)      Situated in Chennai and many locals claim that, Marina to be the world’s longest ,it is the second largest beach in a city after the Ocean Beach, San Francisco, California.

7)      Chennai transportation is considered to be one of the best in India. Koyambedu, regarded as Asia’s Largest Bus Terminus provides bus service to almost all the major cities in South India. We can see many A/C Volvo Metro transportation buses running inside the city and good electric trains helping the citizens to travel in minute’s time to their destinations.

8)      The Green Parks developed by the Corporation of Chennai gives a greener view.

9)      Hoardings Free Chennai gives it a new clean unpopulated look.

10)   Riots-free Chennai makes it the safest metropolitan to live in India now.

 Ten things Chennai is blamed for:

 1)      After the garbage contract was over from one of the players, the Chennai Corporation tried several ways to identify, to transfer the project but they didn’t succeed. No project was taken, as you can see the garbage’s or the waste disposal near Valluvar kottam, Chennai and in many areas.

2)      N++++ number of politicians, actor turn politicians, grows each and every day in the state, esp. in the capital Chennai.

3)      The Chennai Koovam River that flows through out the city is well known for its unkempt state and foul smell. No development even after Sathya Sai Baba contributing crore’s to the state government to fetch Krishna water to Chennai.

4)      Auto rickshaw drivers go about on the roads as if each one of them owns the road. After their acrobatic driving, they even ask for hair-raising fares.

5)      Power shortage in Chennai. Power cuts in all areas of Chennai at least for 1-hour 30 mins, daily. And now a day, even the traffic lights have gone down. We used to have loads of lights when there were plenty of hoardings across the city. So removing them shows how dark Chennai is in the evening.

6)      Chennai- traffic ruins everyone’s life. Esp. In peak hours like 8 a.m to 10 a.m and 6 p.m to 9 p.m

7)      Hardly a few roads are good and they get damaged due to political meetings or heavy rain.

8)      With increase in IT hubs and Real estates, many builders and promoters have stolen the space leaving no air-pollution.

9)      People of Chennai are bad at abiding the laws of the country. They still cross the double cross  – yellow lines while driving, get bribe, no cleanliness, spit and piss everywhere, still after the ban of smoking, people smoke in public places, helmet rule banned for all girls and few males as well, which clearly show’ a lot of politics.

10)   The Pollution in the city is increasing to a very disturbing level and it wouldn’t be long enough when Chennai would be regarded as the most polluted city in India.
